Lo, I figured I’d submit an old character I used at GXF. If you remember Fury Three’s character, he’s from the same storyline/world and thus restricted to RPs within that world. Obviously, I can’t alter everything but I’m willing to work with whatever I can if it comes to that. Part I Name: Legion Race: Technically a shape-shifting Demon, but due to certain events he has become something a bit different (see Bio). Age: Probably a few thousand years at the least, though his appearance can be altered due to his power to change his appearance. Height: 5’11 (typically) Weight: 151 pounds Hair: Black with some patches/streaks of silver down to his shoulders. No facial hair. Eye Color:Red, somewhat cat-like.(known to glow when angered) Build: Lean, ambidextrous. Part II Strengths & Abilities: Skilled in Black Magic, Possession(He can enter the minds of mortals when they are in a depressed or mentally weak state. Afterwards he will gradually try to use the victim's memories and fears to break their spirit and eventually take control of their body, becoming the dominate will of that person. However, this technique is difficult to accomplish, and impossible if the victim has a strong will to fight him, in which case he can be forced out of the person. He can also be forced out of peope by beings with Divine authority.) and the use of knives, he has three powers which dominate his fighting style. The ability to absorb other demons and the souls of humans, the power to shape-shift into other humanoid forms as well as morphing his limbs, and his ability of limited regeneration.(read weaknesses before you get mad at the last ability). Weaknesses: Despite fear of Divine beings and sensitivity to holy magic, his greatest weaknesses are linked greatly to his absorption and regenerative powers. In order to absorb beings, he must focus all of his energy into his claws, which will give off a red glow. However, if he is dismembered or wounded while he is using his power he can NOT regenerate as he usually does and must either recover over time or have a new limb crafted for him. Also, his regenerative abilities only work for a short time. He can not heal from constant blows or deathblows. (Example: Legion was once defeated by having his neck snapped, in which case he had to recreate his body over an extended period.) Therefore, he is NOT invincible and is capable of being defeated. Part III Biography: The Demon Legion’s beginning goes further back then his name, as he was first called Lock, a minion under the rule of the Lord Seraph. (“The Long Run”) It was during a conflict between another clan of demons that Seraph gave Lock a new power to absorb other Demons. Lock then merged with two of his peers, forming Legion. It was during this conflict where he first encountered the girl Ayn(Ayn) and her friends, who had been thrown back in time by the power of Ranna. (“New Myria”) He became mildly interested in Ayn and her strange elemental abilities. However, he could not learn much about the girl before Fury Three(Fury Three) recovered Ranna from his brother, Nyx(Fury Three), and returned the time travelers to their home in the future. Blessed with his new powers, Legion left Seraph’s army and went off on his own. It would be centuries before Legion re-appeared, but it would only seem like days those who had encountered him in the past. A new, far more malevolent Legion appeared to Ayn. His strength and temperament altered by the years of joining with Demons he had come across. To make matters worse, Legion was under the employment of Rand(Ayn), possibly the most sinister and dangerous enemy the heroes of the story had ever encountered. Since his re-appearance, Legion has done nothing but cause trouble for Ayn, a key target of Rand. However, the Demon was kept on a short leash by Rand, whose delicate plans revolved around whether the girl lived or died, thus keeping Ayn ‘safe’ from Legion’s devious behavior for a time. Legion next reappeared during the Megiddo incident,(“Megiddo”) during which it was revealed that the warlock Gale(myself), mastermind of Megiddo, was working closely with Rand to further both his plans of vengeance for the death of his love, and Rand’s goal of creating his own world, seating himself on the throne of God. After Legion began to draw the Demon Havoc out of Cloud,(not the one from FF7) the fallen warrior used the last of his strength to fire his shotgun mad split the Demon in half. The dying Legion pled to Rand for help, which was answered by two Synthetic Demons, Rand’s most prized creations. The Synthies gave Legion the power needed to survive, in exchange for his free will. Legion was reborn as a hybrid between Synthetic and true Demon, his will bent to Rand’s whims and orders. After his rebirth, Legion challenged Kyushin(Fury Three), the eldest brother of Fury Three and once a servant of Rand. Legion nearly absorbed Kyushin, but in a last ditched effort Kyushin took Ranna from the fallen Fury Three and used it to slash off Legion’s claw before escaping. Though Legion was maimed for the moment, he was not finished and then challenged Hayate(Toryu/Janus), “The Messenger.” It was with Hayate that Legion met his match and attempted to flee for his opponents tenacious efforts to destroy him. When Ayn learned she had destroyed her own brother in her battle with Gale, she lost all will to live, it would seem as though Rand’s victory was assured. Before Rand could finish Ayn and destroy the planet, her remaining allies arrived. The recently recovered Cloud managed to defeat Rand, who then retreated by creating a fissure in the ground, which Legion dived into to escape death at the hands of Hayate. This was not the end of Legion, as it never seemed to be. For it was not long after that the Demon attempted to destroy Ayn’s mind by using his full Demon powers to posses her when she stayed at the remains of her older brother’s castle. Just before Legion could take control of Ayn, he was literally pulled out of her mind by none other than her father, Gin Vorena, who long thought dead at the hands of Rand. Refusing to allow Rand to do any more harm to his family, he promptly snapped the Demon’s neck and tossed him out one of the castle’s windows. Since that event, Legion has not been seen. However, no one accounts him as gone for good, as when Kyushin returned to the castle to check on Ayn’s condition it was stated that the corpse of the demon was missing. It can be assumed that Rand has collected Legion and is providing him with a new body to use against those who oppose him. Combined with his Demonic power and the resources of his new master, Legion remains one of Rand’s most dangerous agents, and a constant threat to Ayn and everyone she cares about.
