Shien grinned and twisted to the side a bit, putting his sword right infront of Sarm's path. The wooden weapon hit the metal, stopping it cold.
Shien then lifted his leg, and attempted to kick at Sarm's weapon, trying to break it or send it flying. |
Sarm was in the midst of pulling his stick back after his thrust was blocked, so while Shien succeeded in kicking it Sarm didn't drop it. Instead, he swings along with the direction the stick is kicked to try clubbing Shien in the face. Not knowing if he hit or not, but assuming he didn't, Sarm moves forward to try kicking Shien in the shin.
|
Shien barely had time to recover from the minor blow to his right temple, before he found himself kneeling down, his shin throbbing like mad.
"Ouch! Little brat.." He growled, and stepped back a bit. He lifted the blade, and shifted his thumb, and pressed something on the handle. There was a whirring noise, and the blade began to spin slowly, picking up speed until it was a blur. The purpose for the spikes at the tip became apparently as Shien pushed the blade into the ground gently, the blade boring into the rocky ground with the ease of a jackhammer. No telling what that kind of speed would do to a human body. Shien then twisted the blade and sent it upwards at Sarm, then followed it up with a straight jump-kick, aimed at Sarm's chest. |
The blade saws through Sarm's stick like a thin sheet of paper, and inflicts upon him a nasty gash across his chest. Stunned from the pain, he takes a direct hit from Shien's foot, which only serves to tear the wound open more as well as forcing in dirt. Sarm falls backward and hits the ground hard, sending a small cloud of dust into the air. Sarm shimmers in a white light, but only briefly. Gasping, he rolls over and tries to stand up, but already a lot of the fight was knocked out of him. Sarm stands up, but only to sink to one knee and double over, his hands digging into the sand.
|
Shien flicked the handle again, the blade's spinning coming to a halt. He takes a step, then shoves the blade into the ground beside Sarm's head. He lets go of it gently, then lifts his foot and nudges Sarm's side.
He shakes his head and says "Get up, kid. I don't attack someone on the ground. I didn't hit you that hard." he sighed, and then noticed something laying off to the side, He stood up straight, pulling the sword out of the ground, and stepped over to it. It was partially covered in dust and rock, but gleamed slightly in the light. He grabbed at it, lifting it from the dirt slowly. It was a blade, or more accutratly, a katana. It slightly battered, but seemed perfectly sharp still. Shien turned to Sarm and tossed the katana. It spun in the air, a whooshing sound following it, and landed blade-first in the ground near Sarm. "Here. Now get up and fight." Shien said, gripping the handle of his sword a bit tighter. |
Sarm winces a bit from the nudge, but grits his teeth to bear it. He grabs the hilt of the katana and uses it to push himself onto his feet. He pulls it out with a bit of a jerk, and holds it nervously.
Then, in a semi-fluid motion, Sarm takes his other hand and throws the sand he grabbed at Shien while charging forward again, swinging his sword wildly and without discipline. He's just praying to hit him somehow. |
Shien growls as the sand covers his glasses, and gets into his eyes. He thinks about raising the blade, but instead grits his teeth.
Sarm's swing connects lightly, slicing into Shien's stomache. Right as it does, Shien vanishs from sight. The blood drops off the blade of the katana, but Shien has simply vanished. Shien opens his eyes and pulls off his glasses. The darkness of this place was comforting to his eyes. Everything seemed to have taken a black and white color, and everything was moving in slow motion. He blinked a few times, clearing the sand from his eyes, before whiping his glasses on the edge of his coat. He walks behind Sarm, and positions his blade so that the edge is against Sarm's neck. Color slowly drains back into the world, and he sighs. To Sarm, it would have seemed Shien's blade had suddenly appeared near him, having been unable to see Shien the entire time. "You really should practice with a sword. I've felt gusts of wind that hurt more." |
Sarm freaks out and tries to jump back, only to bump into Shien. He gets scared again and moves forward, almost slicing his neck on the blade. Frightened, and pinned, Sarm sits still. He has no idea what to do.
|
Shien chuckled, and drew the blade back. He set it onto his belt, and reached for the other. He simply drew this one, not bothering to take the sheath off.
It was a katana, obviously special. The hilt was wrapped in blue cloth, and the handguard was gold, in the shape of a star. The blade was dark blue, and seemed to exude a mystic aura. The air chilled around them, as if the very presense of the blade drained heat from the world. He decided to frighten the kid again, and lifted the katana with one hand. Shien grinned wickedly, and vanished. There was silence for a moment, then Shien appeared again, the blade rushing upward to Sarm's face, then he vanished, this time reappearing above Sarm, his sword pointed downward and him falling quickly from the sky. Just as he was about to hit Sarm, he once again vanished. He a third time, only now the tip of the katana was touching Sarm's forehead, a feeling of arctic cold sweeping over the area. "Having fun? I know I am." he grinned and lightly pressed the blunt part of the katana against Sarm's forehead. |
The color drains from Sarm's face. He fumbles for the katana in his hand and tries to whack it away, but it only comes out as a tender tap. When that fails to work, Sarm tries to take a step back, then ducks forward and tries to swing at Shien's legs before hopping back a couple of times.
|
Shien twists the blade and lowers it, stopping Sarm's swings, then in the same motions, swipes the blade sideways, breaking Sarm's form temporarly. He then switches blade sides and swings, sending the katanas blunt edge lightly towards Sarm's sword-arm.
|
Shien connects with Sarm's wrist. The light "slish" sound that is made, Sarm mistakenly believes is his wrist breaking but it was only his fingers sliding off of the katana's hilt. He drops his weapon, and it bounces just out of reach. Grabbing the edge of his dirtied cloak with one hand, he wraps it around himself as he crouches, but it's still obvious to Shien that he's trying to conceal his grabbing more sand in case he advances on Sarm.
|
Shien sighed, and pulled the cigarette from his mouth, and tossed it to the side. He then lifted the sword up, grabbing the hilt with both hands.
He began to spin the blade in his hands, until it began to blur. The wind began to push towards Sarm, warm at first, then colder and colder until it began to feel like a blizzard was targeting Sarm alone. Shien then mumbled something in a voice that echoed along the arena's wall, a word that seemed mystic in it's meaning. The air grew colder still, and snowflakes began to form infront of the blade, then blowing towards Sarm with enough force to pierce skin. |
Small tears open up all over Sarm's skin. He cries out in pain but the chilling wind mutes him. He remains nearly motionless, quivering and chilled, as he begins to shimmer in a gentle white light as he did once before. The more pain he suffers, the brighter he glows as his inhuman aura again becomes faintly detectable.
|
Shien takes notice of the aura, and leans forward a bit, the blade's spinning increasing to the point that a constant metallic ringing sound echoed throughout the entire arena.
The air blew forward harder, sending dust and blood flying off. The snowflakes began to turn into thin shards of ice, which instead of simply piercing, would stick in a wound. Shien then broke the spell into a upward slice, powered by the intense speeds. The ground below simply split open, not even cracking as Shien's sword blew past Sarm, sending a icy cold wave of force directly at him. |
Sarm's light grew larger until he could no longer be seen by it, but Shien's frost wave causes it to shatter and fade away, which is bad news for Sarm. The light was his reaction to pain, numbing him to it if his human form was weakening. Without his magical sedative, he's being subjected to a quite painful transformation.
His skin appears to wrinkle and harden, as well as turn a sickly green color. His skull creaks as it stretches outward and his nose sinks in. Most of his bones crack and snap quite loudly as they rearrange. His clothes and cloak are still intact so most of his change isn't visible, but it's still apparant that Sarm is now in great pain as he twists and turns on the frozen ground. The effects of Shien's snowstorm isn't helping either, as they prevent the wounds from closing. Some blood begins to drip, though not so much as to threaten his life. The ice is also slowing his change. It should have only taken a few seconds for Sarm to transform into a dragon, but he's still not even halfway through. |
Shien raised an eyebrow as he lowered his katana slightly, keeping it just high enough to defend. He blinked a few times at Sarm, then said "Interesting." as he took a small step back, not from fear, but rather placing some distance to ready himself for an attack.
|
His transformation is finally coming to an end. His skin folds over itself to form plated scales as his neck pops multiple times due to stretching. A pair of bloody horns gradually force their way out of Sarm's skull (Sarm cries when this happens) as his nails grow into claws. The rest of the transformation takes place covered in his cloak.
Sarm sits there, shivering in cold and in pain. Some of his wounds still drool with thick blood. His eyes are open, telling Shien that he's still conscious, but Sarm appears to make no effort to move. |
Shien sighed, and his katana found it's way into it's sheath. He stepped over and sat down infront of Sarm. He pulled his arms out of the trenchcoat's sleeves, and pulled it off. He set it ontop of Sarm, chuckling in his mind about how it pretty much covered his entire draconic form.
"A dragon, eh? Shoulda figured.." he sighed, and reached over, grabbing Sarm's discarded katana, and pulled a cloth from his pocket and began to clean the blade. "I got a little carried away on that one..I'm sorry." he sighed, and set the polished blade onto the ground. He reached over onto the trenchcoat, pulling a cigarette out of a pocket, along with a lighter. After lighting the cigarette, he deposited the lighter into his own pocket. |
Sarm isn't exactly fond of getting draped by the trenchcoat, but he really doesn't have much of a choice. Besides, he'd rather not move about anyway. He doesn't want to let Shien find out that Sarm spends so little time in this form that he almost can't support his own weight to walk around. A moment passes, and Sarm shuts his eyes and goes to sleep. With the coat over him, he looks kinda cute.
|
Shien stood up slowly, and began to stretch. He sighed and patted the wound on his stomache, but shrugged it off. He walked over to the coat, and began to shuffle around in the pockets, making sure nothing important was in them.
He chuckled and stood up. He picked up the katana Sarm had used, and after closer inspection, he rubbed a bit of dust off the edge, and looked thoughtful for a moment. He reached into his pocket, and pulled something out. He pressed his hand against the blade, and mumbled something again, that powerful and mystic tone echoing off the remaining walls, causing dust to blow off things around him. The blade glowed for a moment, and red lines began to trace themselves along the blade, forming runic markings and words along the blade. A faint red tint began to cover the blade, until Shien could acctually feel the blade burning him through his glove. He lifted his hand and the red lines dulled, until they disappeared. The markings remained, etched into the blade. Shien tossed a triangular shaped stone into the air, and caught it. "Works better then most mages." and shoved the blade gently into the ground next to Sarm. He turned, and walked off towards the stands slowly. He needed a nap. |

Sources not found within radius of scan, program completed. The light near what was previously the entrance to the arena bends and flickers into a humanoid form as it rips itself out of its camouflage. Alinos holds a hand to his head, and lets out an exasperated sigh, "Damnit, if I was here earlier I could of finished that Demon." Alinos walks forward in thought, not paying attention to his surroundings, or the sleeping combatants nearby, "His sentinel has disappeared as well. He has to be retreating somewhere to recover." Floating up above the ground, Alinos mumbles to himself for a few minutes more, finally ceasing when he's nearly floated out of the arena upside down, "I'll just have to wait for him to make another move and react faster." Shaking his head, the Fallen Angel drops the the rubble-ridden arena floor with the quietest thud, and finally takes in his surroundings, "What a mess." ((Boredom results in long posts of irrelevant babbling.)) |
A figure walked up tpo his general location, looking towards the ruins that were now the arena. "This is some place eh?..." he wore a cloak around himself, his hands both in what could be seen as some sort of futuristic jeans, his short blonde hair flowing slightly in the wind, the loose fitting holster at his him reslting slightly.
"He lookmed up towards the fallen angel, his blue-ish grean eyes looking him up and down. "People here never sease to amaze..." |
Alinos just scoffs and shakes his head.[/i] "Some wreck, if anything else. Without an owner it will just decay."
|
"Gale Onarav, thgat wa shis name wasnt it?" he shook his head, looking ahead. "His file is very interesting in my systems... so interesting in fact that i decided to come here, a decaying once great arena which he once owned..." he looked towards the fallen angel. "You are Alinos I am guessing..."
|
Shien sighed deeply. He was sitting in the ruined stands, hands behind his head sitting on a large chunk of rubble. He didn't really want to be doing nothing, but he didn't want to look for Shi just yet. He was buried in the rubble, thats all he knew.
He then glanced down at the arena and scoffed. "How interesting. Even this old, decaying place attracts fights quite a bit. How odd." and leaned back even more. Snowfault was tied to his waist, and another of his trenchcoats, complete with the billion pockets for cigarettes and lighters, rested on the rubble beside him. He'd had to go fetch another after letting the dragon-boy use his normal one, but he didn't let it bother him. He adjusted his glasses and glanced down again. One of the men seemed to be of angelic origin, while the other..well, he couldn't tell really. He closed his eyes and mumbled "Another angel. As if Shi and his damned 'Oh, I'm so fucking better then you all cause I've got WINGS' wasn't enough.." before drifting off into a light doze. |
Alinos outstretches his wings and scoffs at Shien, not paying him much heed, "Correct, I imagine you keep yourself informed to know that. But this arena doesn't interest me."
|
Wanders into the arena, more than a little lost.
"Now where the heck am I?" |
Shien glanced from his spot atop the stands. The rubble was starting to hurt his back, so he leaned up and crossed his arms. He could tell by the way the woman walked, she was lost. And quite hopelessly, at that.
He yelled down at her "Hey, get out of the middle of the damned Arena! You wanna get your head taken off?" and sighed. He leaned back again, shaking his head. He took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes slightly, trying to ignore the fact his head hurt like hell. He'd been sitting on the rocks too long, made his entire damned body ache. |
Hearing someone's voice, Ty glanced up in the direction of the shout. She smiled a bit before returning her own noise.
"I don't really worry about that kinda stuff...but thanks for looking out for me." |
Shien blinked a few times, before leaning up again. He looked down at the woman and replaced his glasses, then put his head in his hand slightly. He yelled from behind his hands "Whatever. Just get up here before one of those guys down there decides you're annoying them."
He shook his head and leaned back once more out of view of everyone, unless they wanted to climb up a 20 foot piece of ceiling to get to him and see him. |
Intrigued, she calmly walked over and started climbing. Eventually she made it up, mumbling to herself.
"This wouldn't be such a fuss if it were sundown already..." She stopped in front of the stranger, her hands on her hips. |
Shien glanced up at her and said "Congratulations, you've found me." and resumed gazing back at the ceiling. He remained silent for a few moments, before sighing and saying "Shien Kitzu." and glancing up at her. "Welcome to the Arena. Lost, a bit?"
He was obviously a fighter of some regard, by the way he was built. Skinny, but heavily muscled. Not enough to be grotesque, but his shirt was rather stretched. He had a oddly decorated katana at his side, and a trenchcoat sitting next to him. He wore glasses which somehow seemed to both hide and show his silver eyes better. |
She took in his whole physique before answering.
"Yeah...I'm Tyrolean. I'm kind of new to this area. I plan on staying for awhile though, got nowhere else to go..." |
"Ah. Welcome then. Have fun getting used to the place." Shien shrugged and lay down, sighing. He shook his head and said "The only thing to do around here is watch fights, fight in a fight or sleep. Take your pick. The entire place is gonna fall here soon, really, so it's best to try and stay near the parts that have already blown up."
He smirked and closed his eyes, trying to relax even though he knew it was impossible. Too many things could happen in this Arena, and of course, being himself, he wanted to atleast be awake for it. |
"Well, it doesn't have to be this place exactly. I like this whole area. That bar over yonder isn't too shabby."
She sits down and pulls her knees up to her chest and watches the arena. |
Shien shrugged and said "Yeah. I've never been there." and sighed. He layed down again from his slightly sitting up position and said "Well, whatever floats yer boat. Keep an eye on the roof, though. The damn place is gonna fall apart with another fight."
|
Looks out into the sky a little worredly. It wouldn't be long till sunset, and her two week interval was just about over. She stood up and brushed herself off.
"Well...it was a pleasure meeting you..but I really have to go..." She started climbing down the roof when a tile came loose and she lost her footing. She fell straight to the ground and landed on her shoulder with an audible crack. |
Shien sighed blinked a few times when he heard her slip. He sat up and grabbed his trenchcoat, pulling it on. He sighed and walked over to the edge of the rubble he was standing on. He glanced down, and sighed. "Oi." was all he said as he began to climb down the rubble as well. Eventully, he dropped off the chunk of ceiling beside her and said "If you're going to try to fly, make sure you have wings." he said in a sad attempt at a joke.
He reached down and gently poked her shoulder, and sighed. He couldn't tell if it was broken it just dislocated. He sat down next to her and sighed as he pulled a cigarette from the pocket on his jacket. A lighter flew from nowhere and he lit it, and said "Can you get up?" |
Wincing in pain and humiliation, she sat up, holding her shoulder. Looking down at it, she could see a bulge under the skin that shouldn't be there.
"Fudge...ugh..this isn't good. I think my ankle is sprained too...I'll have to.." She looked up suddenly. Then tried to get up, but only sat back down as she cried out in pain. "I really have to go...but I'm not going anywhere like this..." |
then a unkown warrior shows up with snow white hair and dreaded scaf and his body was covered with armor and wrapped in tape and two dreaded sword blades on his arms then his scaf started to blow in the air as he walked to the arena and sign up.
|
Lays back down in a slump, still holding her broken shoulder.
"Ah screw it. I'll let what has to happen, happen. You may want to leave this area until morning..." She looked meaningfully up at Shein. |
Alinos snaps his head over to Shien and Ty at the sound of the fall and glides over to them. Biting his lip, the bitterness he'd developed over what seemed like a hundred lifetimes battle feelings of concern for other. He shook his head, he was trying to change himself, afterall.
"What's going on over here?" |
Watches Alinos come over.
"I just had a little fall, that's all. I'll be fine tomorow...I just need to be alone." Using just one arm, Ty takes the sash from around her waist and bunches it up to use as a temporary pillow. |
Alinos pauses for a moment before nodding, glancing at Shien briefly, "Very well then, just be careful around this deathtrap."
Alinos unfolds his wings and leaps off the arena floor, soaring out a hole in the ceilling. Sighing, He circles above the arena until finding a comfortable altitude and levitating. That Demon had to regenerate, he had to still be around. At least he was keeping busy. |
Sitting up, and finally standing, Ty turned to look at Shein.
"Don't follow me...please. I know you don't know me very well...but I just need that favor..." Limping, she started to walk away, the sun teetering dangerously on the horizon. She just wanted to get out of sight and away from wondering eyes. |
Shien sighed, and stood up as well. He pulled the cigarette out of his mouth and said "Sure." before shrugging and tossing it aside. He grabbed onto the rubble and began to scale it rapidly, reaching the top in mere seconds. He sat down on the edge and watched Ty walk away, keeping his gaze locked on her.
|
"Shit.." Only half a sun left, Ty desperatly looked around her. She hadn't made it far, but pretty close by there was a big chunk of rubble which she hobbled over to. Crawling into a small space, she could already feel that familiar warmth through her body. She took off her dress, pulled the pins out of her hair and untied her hair.
The sun disapeared. "Please let me be allright in the morning..." Her blue hair began to spread to her face, shortening in the back to become fur. Her mouth and nose moved further out as she grew a little taller, and the fur reached all over her entire body as she became fully animal. Bursting through the rubble, this new Ty mostly stood all fours, but could stand only on her arched legs if she wanted. Ty was no longer in control, for another mind rose through the mist. She could still see everything that was happening, but that was all she could do. "Heh...Ty, Ty, where have you taken me?" Rising to stand on her legs, she sniffed the air and got back on all fours. "And we're near people now? Heh..." She ran out from behind the rubble and towards the arena. |
Shien's keen ears picked up the sound of rubble being blown apart by something, and he sat up. He'd laid down after the girl had run off, and now it looked like something fun might finally happen. He jumped down off the rubble, landing crouched and stood back up straight, then began to make his way down the stands, into the center of the Arena.
|
Ty stopped short, eyeing the stranger in the middle of the arena.
"Heh...you're that new friend of Tyrolean. Pleased to meet you...it's been awhile since I've seen ANYone when I'm in control. That bitch's family had their own way of controlling their other selves..." She moved a little closer. "She doesn't want anyone outside her race to know about this..I can hear her screaming at me now, the twit! And as for you..." She stretched her entire body and then shook. "I've got a lot of pent up rage." |
Shien raised an eyebrow at the creature, before saying "Knew something was off about that girl." and reached into his coat. He pulled his katana, sheath and all out and tossed it into the stands, landing atop the rubble he was using for a perch. "Pent up rage, huh? Well, go find a ball of yarn." he smirked, and crossed his arms.
His trenchcoat blew about a bit in the wind, and his glasses began to shimmer in the dull light. The smirk on his face, combined with the fact his eyes were now completely hidden behind his glasses, made him look rather fierce standing there. |
"Ball of..? Why you no good piece of trash! Have you no respect?"
Rising on her hind legs she came a little closer, her knuckles barely inches above the ground. She stopped and sniffed again. "You're not normal are you...?" |
Shien grinned brightly, and said "Took you that long to notice? And no, I'm not. I'm....Well, the proper word is Giuviu, but your kind would consider it something of a Fallen God." and chuckled. His posture didn't change, really, and he seemed unfazed by the creature. "And no. I don't have much respect, evenmoreso to gigantic kittens who had too much catnip."
He chuckled at himself on that one, and let his arms fall to his sides. He really didn't want to hurt Ty, but this creature was getting on his nerves a bit. |
That broke the straw. Ty had never been free in her monster form save once when she was fourteen, and that was due to a weak chain. Most of her kind had special basements where shackles and chains lined the walls, and this was where they would chain themselves every fortnight. There was always a non-mecorlin servant around to let them loose again in the mornings. On the occasion that Ty got loose, she murdered two of the neigbhor's horses, and was found the next morning sleeping in blood. Other than that, her other self had no experience outside, let alone any self-control
She charged, seeming to run straight at Shein to attack, but at the last minute changed directions and came around back, where she swung her fist towards his back |
The creature hit..his coat. He'd slipped out of it, and had shot forward as soon as he'd lost sight of her. The coat hit the ground and a few cigarettes scattered out of the pockets. "Dammit. I liked that brand, too." he said with a sigh.
He was facing her, hands still at his sides. He didn't seem fazed at her attack, and bent forward a bit. He shot off from the spot he was, dust trailing from the ground as he went. He pulled his fist back and aimed a punch to her chest, then for added measure, followed it up with a spinning-kick to her side. |
She was fast enough to avoid the punch, but the kick sent her flying backwards. She dug her claws into the ground to slow herself down, now standing pretty much on top of the cigarettes.
"Favorite brand?" Smiling, she took her front paw and rubbed her palm forcefully on the little sticks. "How do you like that?" |
"I'd fall to my knees and weep at such gross destruction of Art, but I'll wait until after I beat you within an inch of your life." he said. He really liked those cigarettes, too. Expensive as hell.
He cracked his knuckles for a moment, then once again he rushed forward. This time, however, he jumped forward and landed behind her, then spun around and lifted his leg, aiming a heel-slam to her back. |
But she was already gone. She was back behind him again, aiming a bite for his thigh all in one quick motion.
|
Shien's foot, doing a wonderful job of hitting thin air, wasn't able to stop in time for him to move, and thus he now finds her taking a bite out of his thigh. "Dammit!" was the only word to escape his mouth before he pulled off of her, allowing more flesh then needed to get taken off, and began to clutch his leg.
His mobility was shot all to hell now, and that wasn't good against a creature who apparently was faster then him anyway. He spun to face her, holding his leg with one hand. He gave it a moment's thought, then chuckled. "Well, you'll be the only person thus far to see..Ya'know..This." and he smirked to her. There was a tearing sound, and a line of about 10 foot long, 1 foot wide cloth snaked out from behind Shien, over his right shoulder. Another ripping sound, and another 'wing' snaked over his left shoulder. It repeated for a bit, until there was five 'wings' on each side, waving around and flowing like they were in a tornado. Shien's feet lifted off the ground a bit, and his eyes seemed to brighten a bit. His voice, when he spoke, seemed to echo loudly, even though it should not have. "Now, prepare to bleed." He flew forward, his wings billowing behind him. When he got within range of her, 2 of the wings on both sides shot forward at her. They suddenly seemed to lose their cloth-like appearance, instantly straightening and glistening in the light, like blades. Another pair of wings shot from below his feet, attempting to wrap like vines around her legs. |
She spat out the flesh she managed to tear and only mananged to avoid the blades to a point: one went right through her lower leg and she was trapped as the wings overlapped on her. Growling with rage, her eyes seemed to glow before she placed both her paws onto the blade in her leg. Ice ran from the tips of her fingers and up the blade, and quickly made it's way back towards Shein.
|
Shien growled as the ice hit his back. His wind pulled out of her leg and the two around her legs flew back like they'd been hit. He dropped to his knees, gritting his teeth in blind pain as the ice hit the bonework connecting the 'wings' to his spine. He manged to resume floating again, and flew backwards. The iced wing trailed across the ground, useless for now.
A good 5 meters away from her, he said "Close range, not a good idea. Not enough time to break the ice..Heh." and his wings began to flutter again. They began to lengthen slightly, then suddenly they began to shoot forward rapidly. They would fly towards her, then suddenly shift into metal as they were about to hit and then turn back into cloth as they drew back, and repeated the process. A varitable hail of wings ensued, attempting to slice her every which way and then some. |
She dodged and doged, over and over, yet she was still hit again and again. First one hit her arm, merely scratching it, another went right through and tore off her left ear. Another went right through her side. A few more hits later and she collapsed in a bleeding heap.
"Uggg...." |
Shien sighed as he floated forward. Maybe he overdid it just a TAD. He dropped to his feet next to her, and shook his head. "Game, set, match." and shrugged. He grimaced and reached down to grab the wound on his leg, while his 'wings' floated forward to wrap around her legs, arms and waist then lift her into the air.
|
"What are...you doing...?" She attempted to struggle weakly, but even her body knew it was in vain.
|
"Holding you so you don't do anything stupid." and he sighed. The wings lifted her up to about waist height and he lifted off the ground once more. He floated up onto the stands, and sat down on a still-intact piece of stairs. He had Her floating in the air to his right, about a foot away from him.
|
She coughed up blood attempting to talk. The sun would have to rise soon, because she was plainly dieing.
"Just you wait...in two weeks I'll be back...I have a whole two weeks to think about what you've done...to me." Her eyes stared into space for a moment, as if listening. "She's laughing at me, you know...she kind of hopes I die...although that means her death too. If only I could I'd rip her right out of me...we shouldn't be chained and caged the way we are. We should be...free to kill and hunt as we please...heh..now I'm just rambling...maybe because it's getting so hard to..focus..." She relaxed her head quietly and looked towards the horizon. This part of Ty hated the sunrise, but for once, she almost couldn't wait for it. |
"Perhaps you deserve to be free. Perhaps it would be best for everyone. But I no longer have the power to make that desicion, so you're on your own. This god prefers to spend his days in the form he's bound too. I'd love to be free again..But I screwed that one up. Atleast you have someone to talk to. Get boring having a voicless 'someone' inside you, that can't get out."
Shien smiled slightly, and added "Go ahead and think about what I've done. Just don't bug Ty about it too much, will ya? Girl must have enough problems without you harping on her." and snickerd. |
Ty seemed to think about it for a moment.
"She deserves everything I say to her. I am what I was..born as. Yet we are kept locked up like...like monsters. What cruel god created this existence..in an entire race even...so I say fuck her, her and her entire way of life!" This last sentence sent her into a huge coughing fit that set her wounds to oozing thick blood again. She winced with every cough which suddenly started to subside as the wounds began to close. Looking up sharply, she saw the sun starting to peek up from the earth. She looked back down at Shein. "Till next time..." Her eyes closed and in a matter of minutes the beast was no more. A naked but completely unscathed Tyrolean jerked to life. |
Shien closed his eyes, both from the rising sun and..other such things. His wings let go of her, letting her plop softly on the stone. He chuckled and said "Morning, sunshine." and leaned back a bit. One of his wings shot forward, into the arena and grabbed his coat, then pulled it back to him. He brushed it off, then tossed it to Ty.
"Get that on. It zips in the front, and I'll be damned if it isn't long enough to cover you." he said, then sighed as his wings began to retract back into his back. All of them, save for the one that she had frozen. Shien picked that one up and set it in his lap, resolving to deal with it later. |
She quickly put the jacket on and zipped it up.
"First date and I'm already naked...heh." She looked out towards the scattered rubble but couldn't see her stuff. "Crap..." She looked over at Shein, still a bit embarresed. "I really didn't want...all of that to happen you know..she...I couldn't help it..." |
Shien shrugged slightly, and opened his eyes and turned to face her. "It's fine. You can't help it. No harm done really. Well, except to her ego, perhaps." and he grinned brightly. He seemed..older, in that moment, really. His face would tell you he was in his twenties, but in the moments after the fight he seemed to have aged a thousand years.
He looked back out over the arena, and sighed. He didn't feel like getting up, and his wing and back still hurt like hell. |
Alex stood, watcxhing nthe sun set, shaking his head. "God... I never thought i would see such a site..." he looked over to the others and shook his head. 'so much taken for granted..."
|
She watched him for a moment, then half-smiling, sat back down.
"I wouldn't worry about her next fortnight. Besides she's such a weakling and I'll probably...just go back to where I came from. I don't want to cause trouble like that again for this area. Bah..I'm screwed no matter what I do it seems." |
Shien turned to her, and grinned brightly. "Oh hell no you don't." and he reached over and patted her atop the head. "You get to stay here. You're way too much fun to have around. Plus, every time miss Kitty wants to show up, you can be sure to be near me and I'll just tie her down." he said. As if to make his point, the ice encasing his 'wing' began to crack and fell off, the wing flaring back to life and waving about for a moment, before retracting back into his back.
"Besides, you're not gonna cause trouble." he chuckled. "There are people more powerful then me just swarming this bloody place. Ever met Ekail? Scary kid. He'd be the one to go to if you ever wanna end up missing both arms in a few seconds flat." and he shuddered. He turned back into the arena after he said this, and sat back a bit, resting his head on a piece of rubble behind him. |
She perked up, not used to hearing words of encouragement. Smiling, she turned her head to look at the newcomer.
"Hello there.." |
Shien shrugged slightly, before reaching up and pulling off his glasses. He set them on the stone next to him and said "Anyway..." he seemed lost for words at the moment.
|
She glanced over and saw his eyes.
"Those eyes...they're silver? I didn't notice that before, even as, well, as my other self..." |
Shien grinned and said "More or less. Silver, or a very light gray." and he chuckled. "Besides, I don't think it was possible for your Kitty friend to see anything through the blinding haze of red after that Catnip comment." and he began to laugh for a moment.
He finally stopped, then began to rub his eyes. He seemed to be ignoring the wound on his leg, which was still bleeding quite a bit. |
She laughed
"Yeah, that comment REALLY burned her up!" Notices his leg. "Ug...I forgot about that...let me go and get my stuff..." Climbs down, a lot more carefully this time, and starts running out to where her things lay scattered. |
Shien shrugged slightly, then leaned back and closed his eyes. The wound was painful, sure, but he was lucky she'd missed anything important. It'd heal in time. He stretched briefly, then put his hands behind his head and yawned.
|
Finally getting to her destination, she gathers up her possessions, and squinting, tries to see if anyone is looking. She took off the coat and got dressed, feeling at home again in her blue dress. Grabbing the coat she ran back and climbed up the roof. Panting, she sat down to rest, but not before pulling a small package from a pocket in the sash. Inside the package, lay a small vial of glowing green liquid.
"Here. Put this on your wounds. It's a medicine most of my kind carry..it's kind of..well, an essence of our regenerative powers from the fortnights of our lives. I don't think it'll have any weird effects on you, although you're not Mecorlin like me..." |
Shien smirked, and shook his head. "No thanks. You keep it, might come in handy someday for someone else." and he chuckled. He reached over to the coat and extracted a cigarette, and a lighter. He lit the cigarette, then tossed the lighter back to Ty. He leaned forward a bit, and sighed.
The smoke floated down towards his leg, and began to 'circle' around the wounded area several times. It sat there for a moment, before it seemed to solidify, into a nice which length of bandages, appearing to be cloth. |
"Whoa..." She just stared for a moment and shook her head.
"I've never seen so many strange things. I'm really glad I left home.." |
Shien chuckled, and patted his leg. "It'll heal good as new here soon." and smirked. He shook his head, and said "This place is quite interesting, let me tell you. I've seen stuff here even being a GOD can't prepare you for." and he took a small puff off the cigarette.
He shook his head again, and tossed the cigarette into the arena, where it bounced and rolled into a large fissure in the ground. |
She jerked her head to look at him, stunned.
"A...a god? How is that possible..?" |
Shien smirked, and said "Eh, long story. Mother was a Fallen Angel, dad was a Demigod. I got sent up to the whole 'Kingdom of the Gods' dealie..And of course, got kicked out after one too many tornados and floods. Then, ya'know, exile to humanity for such and such amount of time..Which, in my case, is about 23,122,121,102 years."
He shrugged, and leaned forward a bit more. |
"That's...that's quite a long time....my race only lives about 2000 years or so..relatively short, but thank goodness I'm not a human in the end."
She laughed and lay down, getting tired. |
Shien nodded, and said "Yeah. I'm going to live forever, or until something kills me. It's quite boring, you know. I wish there was some sort of end to it all, but eh." he yawned slighlty, then leaned back again.
He glanced over at Ty, then back to the roof. "So, whats your story?" |
The yawning was contagious. She finished and turned to look at him.
"Well..in my race there are those who insist on pure bloodlines, including my family. I'm one of the rarest of my kind, and my dad was intent on marrying me off...breeding me is more the word. I couldn't stand for that." |
Shien nodded. "Ahh. Free spirited type. Good choice. I don't abide by the idea of anyone being controlled. It's not the way it's meant to be." and shrugged. "Of course, there are exceptions to that.." and he chuckled.
|
"Exceptions? I don't think I want to know." She snickered a bit.
"I don't see what the big deal is with the so called, 'pure' blood shit. We are who we are no matter who our parents were. The greatest joy in life is supposedly love, so if you're forced to marry someone you don't like, what's the point in living at all?" She shrugged, memories making her a tad frustrated. |
"I agree. Love isn't something you can force or make, it is something that just..happens. Breeding like you mentioned is vile, and the worst way." he sighed as he said, then shook his head. He brushed some hair out of his face, then just shrugged.
|
She yawned again, hard this time.
"I think I'll get some sleep right here. I've been up all night after all." She curled up where she lay on the hard roof as her hair freely spread around her. She was already asleep. |
During the fight the night before, Alinos had descended to what was left of the arena roof to spectate. Seeing the abilities of Shien, he decided interfering would have been unnecessary. Still, he was intrigued by both newcomers, and the unfamilliar powers they wielded.
Alinos leaps off the roof and with a soft thud lands outside. A dirt road leading back to town, trees heading into the woods, a small creek flowing in the opposite direction. Sighing, Alinos sits by the water and closes his eyes. |
Shien chuckled as she went to sleep, and stood up. He pilfered his coat back, and walked over to the rubble where his katana lay. He shook his head, and jumped up to it. He grabbed it and tied it to his waist. He put the coat on and began the process of shuffling through the pockets, trying to find the broken cigarettes.
Eventully, he got them all sorted out and tossed the small pile of crushed and ripped ones off to the side, then sat down on the edge of the rubble, glancing over the Arena. Maybe someone else would grace the derelict building with their presense today? |
~
Clear? That Angel is sleeping, he won't sense us.
There's still other people in the arena.
Do they know us?How would I know?
We need to do something.
Enough, Gawd. ~ There's a shuffling in one of the rubble piles, followed by a couple of crashes as debris is thrown off. A bleeding, dismemebered, black-haired man claws his way from under the rubble and shakingly stands. It seems Legion chose to hide after his fight with Hayate, and had not regenerated in an effort to remain unoticed. "Well this place wasn't this bad when I left." ((Oh my God, I've never had so much trouble getting tags to work in a post. x_x)) |
Shien glanced down at the new figure, and couldn't help but grimace at it's wounds. He let his gaze linger for a moment, before shaking his head. He caught the person's comment about the state of the Arena, and he chuckled.
Shien yelled "Thats what I thought. Apparently two people were fighting and caused quite a bit of damage to the place, or atleast thats the story I got from a scared little kid." and chuckled. He turned to look into the arena, and smirked to himself. As if the massive amounts of blood covering a few parts of the arena wasn't enough of a tip off to one of the fighter's identitys. Shien himself hopped down off the rubble and, due his nature, climbed over to the other mand and said "Need a hand..Or arm?" and he chuckled. |
"Cute," Legion sneered as he surveyed the arena, "And those were some mighty fine looking wings you had out in that fight with the cat. Were could I find some, Mr. Giuviu was it that you called yourself?"
Legion grins and tilts his head at Shien, as a red glow spreads over his body. |
Shien wakes up Sarm when he takes his coat back. Taking a minute to calm himself in spite of the pain he still feels, he pulls his cloak over himself. He's wrapped in a light, which is mostly covered by the garment. When he changes back into a human, he limps on over to what remains of the stands so that he can find a safer place to take a breather.
|
Shien chuckled. "Giuviu is my former name, call me Shien." he shrugged. "You'd have to kill me or something to get em, I suppose. Unique to me or some of the higher level Archangels, I suppose." he noted the red glow covering Legion but decided not to say anything.
