KB nodded. "I saw it." She sighed, not knowing what to say next. "So ah..." She tried to think of something, nothing came to her mind. For some reason, she was finally feeling how tired she was, while on the search, when she foudn out how close the castle was, she barely rested. After KB rubbed her eyes, she found TZM looking into her eyes and slightly smiled.
He nodded. "you can stay at my place for the night if you want..." Why was he enviting her to his house? Old friends? Or...was it more?... He didnt know... he just didnt know...
"I can bring us there instantly if you'd wish... ior we could walk..." |
KB stood there for a moment, wondering if she should take him up on that offer. "Um...if I'm not invading your space, then I guess it's alright if I spend the night and we can walk if you want to." She didn't want to make a wrong decision and impose on T.
The two soar towards each other and as soon as they get close to each other Bern soars over onto his back flying upside down. The then begins to send a flurry of attacks at the bird like figure as he fle through the air.
TZM chuckled slightly. "I dont exactly have friends over much... but if you'd like to stay at my place for the night, thats ok with me... I guess I'll sleap on the chair." Suddenly, they apeared outside of the castle, saving them the time of walking down all those flights of stares. He wanted to walk home... get to talk to her a little more...
"I can sleep in the chair, I don't want to take your bed. It's yours and you should be able to sleep in it. I'm sure the chair would be fine." KB said with a small smile after they appeared outside.
He shook his head. "your my guest tonight K... Sleap in the bed... it's for the best..." he walked slightly behind her, taking his hand and resting it on her shoulder. "Ok?..." he was behind her... and looking at her... her body... everything... he closed his eyes, shaking his head slightly. he wasnt going to do this... The continued walking along, entering the forest.
KB frowned while watching him. "Alright, fine, I'll take the bed." She sighed. What the hell was she doing here? She found that TZM was alive, what more was there to do? Fall in love with him again? She didn't know what to do next but follow TZM to his place.
TZM walked with her in silence untill they got to his house. it wasnt much, merely something with a roof and a bed, something he stayed in, but you could hardly say he lived in. He sighed slightly, he wished it looked batter. "well... were here..." he gave a slight bow and placed his arm out in a playful mock 'after you' look, with a slight chuckle, but he was inwardly angered towards himself. Why was he doing this?... he didnt get it... God... this was just too much...
KB looked around, she was slightly surprised, then again, what did she expect? Surely not the nice hotel that they used to stay at. She stepped through after his arm swept by. Being inside TZM's place somehow made her feel uncomfortable. "And how long have you been here?"
"A month...maybe two, i dont know really..." he looked to her and seeing her hesitency (is that a word? Oh well, it'll go into TZM's big book of made up words...) "Is something wrong?"
((lol))
KB stood there for a moment, then she ran her hand through hair from nervousness. "I don't know." She leaned against the wall next to the door. "You've changed...a lot more than I would've thought. I don't know why, but I would have never thought that you'd live here." |
He sighed, closing his eyes. "I'm sorry if I am not the man you remember K..." he looked away. "Being tortured in hell for two years time does that to a person... I've given up fighting mostly, Hell, i gave the Windsword to a young man named Sarith..." he looked back. "This place... it's what i'm used to... I'm not... the hero i once was..."
Her eyes widened when TZM said he gave his Windsword away. Her mouth slowly fell. She couldn't believe that he didn't really fight anymore. "It isn't your fault I guess..." She looked around. "Uh...I don't know what I'm doing here...I shouldn't have came..."
He looked towards her and sighed. "I'm sorry K... about everything... I have changed, I've changed aloit... but I am still me, i may not fight I may not use my sword or anything... but I am still TZM... the man you once loved..." he sighed again and looked away. "if you want to leave me... thats fine... I know your alive now... the guilt that i felt it was my fault you died is no longer laying heavy on my heart... I can be who i want to be again." he smiled slightly. "thank you... K... thank you for finding me..." he came forwards and hugged her, holding her in his arms, and he hadn't thought about what he was doing untill now. He had changed... and now... now he hoped things hadnt changed too mucdh... so much that she would care for him anymore...
KB slowly hugged him back. She closed her eyes. He smelled so familiar. She remembered his scent. Underneath the dirt and whatever, she could still make up his soft scent. Tears rained down her face, a rarity. She wanted to be with TZM again, but didn't know how if she'd accept his changes. Maybe...just maybe she could.
He sighed, he hadnt meant to hug her and hold her like he had used to do... but he couldnt help feal so much more at peace. he smiled, fealing her body against his, holding her, and her holding him... and then the slight warmth upon his shoulder... her tears seaping into his tunic. he couldnt help it... for the first time in a yar... he cried.
He slowly broke away from the hug smiling, not caring about his own tears, and looked into her eyes. "you wanna come in?... It's cold tonight..." he closed his eyes and relized that, at this moment, the wind was calm, not blowing in any direction, but in a lul, something that had never happened sence he had become enfused with the powers of wind, his abilities reflecting his emotions. He was finally... at peace... |
((It's bothering me that this fight hasn't ended, so I'm just gonna do it. Besides, with Ayn's hiatus not much can be done here.))
The Demon turns to Onarav, and begins to mock the age Abbis. "And you, what makes you think you can do any better than your brother, hm? I've surpassed you fossils with all the Demons I've absorbed. It doesn't matter how strong you two are, I'll just keep coming back. Take my arms, take my legs, it won't do a thing!" Legion begins to laugh again. "Just admit it, I can't lose!" However, if Legion had stopped to look around, he might of realized that ancient Abbissian magic was at work, and was pulling the Demon's sentinel eye down towards him. Onarav smirks at the Demon and lets out a laugh of his own. "Aye, maybe you can outlast my brother and me. But there's still the matter of you never shutting that trap of yours." E. Gin nods upward at the eye, which is now only a few feet above Legion. He then turns his staff into a gun, which he fires into the eye, causing it to shine with a bright red light. Legion's eyes widen at the site and he desperately tries to escape, but in another moment the surrounding area is consumed in red energy, and the Demon lets out a distorted scream as his body is chared to ashes and taken by the wind. Onarav turns his weapon back to a cane and leans on it, letting out the laugh of an old man. He turns to Gin. "He's gotten stronger, but he's still the same arrogant bastard he always was. Lucky me I guess." ((Again, this fight only ended like that cause no one else was going to end it, and don't think that E. Gin is any stronger than Gin, he just used Legion's rambling (plot device go!) to catch him off guard and defeat him. Sorry if I made him seem stronger or something.)) |
KB noticed the wind die down to a slow nothingness (a word?). She hadn't really paid much attention to TZM's question. All she could do was look into his eyes and see the tears. Unsure of what to do or say, she just stood there.
He closed his eyes, breaking the sight bond. "I'm sorry... forget it if you want..." he slightly shook his head, the tears still slightly coming down.
KB finally 'snapped' out of it. She blinked for a moment, then wiped her eyes, hearing TZM's words. A slow smile crossed her lips. "Oh...I'm sorry. I promised myself that I wouldn't get emotional and ah...here I am, crying my damn eyes out." She scratched forehead. "I don't want to forget it...this. I came too far...I don't want to forget it."
He nods. "I never really thought about it... what it'd be like to see you again.." The tears slowly continue. "I never told myself i wouldnt cry... becouse I guess i knew i would... but... i never dreamed that i'd see you again..." he smiled. "Thank you... for finding me..."
"Well I had to know you were alive." KB watched TZM's tears flow, not liking them. One, she didn't like seeing others cry b/c she felt sorry for them and two, she wasn't really the type to like seeing a man cry. Very tempted, KB sighed and softly muttered, "Well what the hell...", she ripped a piece of cloth from her sleeve and stepped close to TZM's body to wipe the tears from his face.
He chuckled. 'sorry about that..." he alowed her to wipe the tears. "I dont cry much... I guess I've changed more than i thought..."
KB nodded, looking into his eyes, feeling a sudden urge to kiss TZM. She wanted to look away, feeling heat catch up into her face, but she continue to look into the guy's eyes. Inching closer, whispering, "Sometimes chang can be for the better..."
KB had no idea what she was doing other than making an impulse decision. |
He looked down towards her and smiled slightly, closing his eyes, not noticing her slowly moving her face closer. "Like what?..." he slowly took her hand into his again and enclosed her fingers within his own. "KB..." he slowly leaned forwards as well, now opening his eyes and seeing she was too... and kissed her. he slowly closed his eyes, kissing her slowly...
KB slowly returned the kiss as she felt TZM's hand envelope her own and their soft lips connect. KB's eyes closed while she put her free hand up against the man's neck to hold him closer.
It was all interupted by a whistle at the door. KB jerked back and dropped her hand from TZM's neck as laughter filled the room. "My my, you two do move fast, don't you?" Kalima, a.k.a. DKB, leaned against the doorframe with a smile upon her face. The woman's hair was dyed a redish brown color and it hung low at her back from never being cut. It was the only difference that you could tell between her and KB. |
TZM, rather flustered looked up. "DKB?... is that you?..." he closed his eyes and shook his head. "wow, whered you come from?..."
KB's eyes were wide as she stared at Kalima. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Kalima only smiled more and ignored KB's question. "I came from afar. I got bored and wanted to see how things were going and if I helped any and by far, I think I did." "Leave Kalima." KB harshly said with obvious anger. Just when it was getting good, the woman had to interupt. "You told him I changed my name?" KB closed her eyes and faced the wall, putting her forehead against it and softly banged it. "What-the-hell-do-you-think?" She said between each bang. Kalima just continued to smile ignoring her twin. "How are you doing TZM?" |
TZM slightly chuckled, not helping but laugh at KB's reaction. "I'm doing ok I guess." he gave a slight offhand motion to his right. "Dax...er...DTZM is over that way if you wanna see him." he chuckled, shaking his head. "How are you doin?"
Kalima's smile slightly faultered with the mention of DTZM's name. "I'm doing good. KB finally got us permantly seperated and all."
"I think at a time like this, we shouldn't be sperated." KB muttered with her head still on the wall. Kalima laughed, her strong smile returning. "I beg to differ. You guys would've gotten it on if I wouldn't have arrived." KB's eyes widen and she slowly turned, looking at Kalima with her flushed cheeks. "Not true." "Oh come on. I know your every desire hun." Kalima pulled a cigarette from a pouch at her waist. "Remember, we can still feel each's emotions and what you were feeling was strong." "Shut up!" KB said, pointing her finger. Kalima only laughed as she lit the cig and inhaled, then blew the smoke from her lips. "And if I don't?" "I'll shove that thing down your throat." KB said without looking at TZM. Over the years, she had gotten more aggressive. She herself had gone through a few changes. "You could try." Kalima muttered, forgetting about DTZM. |
TZM was just shaking his head, holding his ahnd to his face, trying to hold back a laugh. "I'm sorry, this is just funny." he chuckled again. "heh... you and Dax both are heavy smokers..." he chuckled slightly, he had noticed her slight change at the mention of Dax. "hey KB... what did she feal when I mentioned Dax?" he chuckled slightly, he couldnt help it, this was rather funny.
Kalima choked on the cigarette smoke as she inhaled. The woman bent over, coughing and speaking in between them. "Shit TZM!" Kalima had caught on that Dax was DTZM's name when TZM made his first mistake.
KB was the one laughing now then she placed her hands on her hips. "She felt surprised, but I don't think she really cares that he's here." Kalima regained her composure, taking the cigaretter from between her lips. "See TZM, nothing more." KB nodded. "Ah, but that's not true. There is more. When you said his name, her insides jump-" KB's words were ended when a cigarette wizzed by her head. "Shit!" KB whispered as Kalima was smiling her at her. "Shut up KB." Kamila said while her smile vanished. "No, you did the same to me. It's only fair, 'hun'. As I said, I think she gets a little...happy, jumpy, overjoyed-" "Enough." Kalima muttered. KB continued, looking into her twin's eyes. "Overjoyed when she here's that name. Dax." "Shut up..." Kalima growled. "Dax." KB said again with a smile, feeling Kalima's little jump and desire after hearing DTZM's name. Out of anger, Kalima charged KB. KB dropped to the floor, quickly grabbing the cigarette from the floor. As Kalima rode her twin to the ground. KB brought the end of the cigarette about an inch from Kalima's face. "I'll burn it." She hiss as Kalima's angry eyes glared at KB. "You bitch." The angry woman whispered. They both seem to have forgotten that TZM was in the room. |
TZM is sorta in shock. "ok, ok, thats enough you two...' He pulled Kalima off of KB. "sheash... sorry about all that..." he looked to Kalima. "if you wanan friggen see him, like I said, he's that way..." He trailed off slightly. "thought you were dead too... so did he..." He sighed, sitting on the bed slightly. This was all a little too much for him, everything was taking it's toll suddenly. "This has been such an interesting day..." he looked back atthe two. "so... what do either of you plan to do now that your here?..."
Kalima hated being so hard. It would've been harder for TZM to her of her twin. KB stayed on the floor, leaning against the wall. She had snuffed the cigarette and Kalima glared at her across the room. "What I'm going to do is kick KB's ass."
"As you say, you can try." KB said, looking at TZM though. She was already getting tired of Kalima. The two of them could never get along. "Go visit Dax and leave us alone." Kalima shook her head. "I don't want to see him." KB laughed. "The hell you don't you liar. I can feel it." "Don't start that. That would be like me saying if I leave you here alone with muscleman (TZM), then you two will do the dirty and I will feel it across the way. I don't think so." KB blushed, not expecting for Kalima to say all of that. "We just met again Kalima, I doubt that would happen at the moment." Kalima smiled and shrugged. "I don't know about that from what I saw at the door." |
"TZM's voice was rather calm. "were friends kalima, nothing more, nothing less, it was a kiss for old times sake... dont worry about us 'doin the dirty' as you said, I have no entention of alowing that to happen at any time." His words were rather harsh, almost angered sounding, but it was not detectable by the most part. He looked to Kb and sighed slightly. "I'm sorry about kissing you KB..."
Out of nowhere, Kalima began laughing really hard. "You-...sorry about kissing-....KB!..." She laughed harder for whatever reason. "She...she started it!"
KB frowned. Yeah, she started it, but would she admit it...nah..."Shut up Kalima. You heard TZM. Oh and don't be sorry about it...I guess that Kalima is right for once...in a way." KB had noticed the slight anger in TZM's voice, she could detect it easily, but she wasn't going to say a thind about it. |
he sighed slightly. "either way... I'm glad to see both of you again, I'm sure dax would feal the same way..." he closed his eyes, not exactly enjoying speaking his twin's name. He opened them again. "I can see that KB and your relationship has sorta takin a turn for the worst... reminds me of me and Dax... maybe things didnt change too much... or not enough..." he chuckled slightly.
"Meh...Kalima's evil and I'm supposedly good, so I guess our argueing is supposed to happen. Balance..." KB said with a shrug.
Kalima pulled out another cigarette. "Damn...my last one..." she muttered to herself. "What a shame." KB rolled her eyes while muttering that with mockery. Kalima lit the cigarette and looked at TZM. "Would Dax get pissed if I asked for some cigarettes?" |
He smiles. "Nah, he'd enjoy someone else who enjoys the fine art of smoking." He chuckled, alowing the sarcasm to flow easily. "Really, I doubt he'd mind." he smiled still, shaking his head slightly then chuckled. "I dont think that guy ever runs out..." TZM stood then walked over to help KB up, not becouse he thought he had to, but it was the nice thing to do, espeacially to a friend.
KB looked at TZM for a moment before letting him help her up. She hadn't expected it. Kalima talked as KB got up. "You both think you're so funny. Damn sarcasm."
"Glad you noticed." KB said with a small smile. "Let's go out and meet the chain smoking Dax." "You chain smoke." KB muttered. Kalima shook her head. "I had cut back but now that I'm around you, you make me want one every time I have nothing in my mouth." KB smiled. "Then get something else in your mouth." She smiled even more when Kalima had slightly blushed for once, she felt the desire of her twin, taking the meaning of what KB had said to another level. "I'd gladly get something else into my mouth, but I'm sure you would want something in your mouth too." Kalima winked and laughed as she left the little house toward Dax. KB stood there looking rathered embarrased. "I don't want anything else in my mouth!!" KB called back. |
TZM merely stood, watching this, a slight amount of blush on his face. "Um... I wont ask..." he chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "I'm sure glad both of you are back, it's nice to see an old face now and then." he smiled. "espeaically a face as cherished as yours..." he trailed off. Damn it... he was doing it again...
~~~ Sirius screach roared again, then flew up into the air, glaring, relizing that another of great power would soon enter the frey... he flapped his long graceful wings hard and bolted away towards the Horizon. ~~~ "Freaken bird bailed on us..." Dax shook his head, slowly landing, the shadows resonating around him once more, changing him back to his prefered form, that of his original look that he had created, twin pistols on his side and long black trenchcoat seaming to emerge as the shadows formed around him, reshaping who he was. he was doing all of this by his own will really, so it wasnt much for him. the entire transformation was a mere five seconds. |
"After all of that he left..... I pity the weak....." He glides down to the ground and lands softly kicking up a small amount of dust that twists around his feet.
Quote:
dax looked back to bern and chuckled. "Hey, your a good fighter, how about I buy you a drink? A nice drink is deserving after such a fight." he chuckled, turning back towards the direction he was facing then sighed shaking his head and looking back. "So... she's come back... Great... just great... and..." he stopped, staning there, the shadows which formed with his body lingering, the wind t a stand still. "I feal her as well..." |
It had been months since the girl had left this place. Despite having no recollection of or any emotional attachment to the castle at all, she somehow finds herself walking up the stairs and into the library. She looks around, confused.
"Why... Why does it feel like I've been here before?" |
He was hopelessly lost, and he knew it. Stumbling through the old castle, guided only by the holy light he was creating in his hand. "How damned hard can it be to find out person!?" he nearly screamed, looking around the intersection of pathways he'd found. His mission was simple; Find one Ayn, the spirit of earth Incarnate, and keep her from harm or if that was impossible, atleast from dying. Lovely. Solamente had gone from Demon Hunter, master of his class of hunter and actually making a differance, to babysitting a girl who just so happend to hold the fate of the planet.
Just dandy. He winded his way through the halls, eventully coming to a room. He slumped in the doorway, then was reminded of the cannon on his back again by it knocking a small chunk of the ceiling onto his head. He blinked it off, used to blows to the head by now, and instead gave a twitch and began to grumble loudly. His grumbling ceased when he found himself quite face to face with a woman. He put his hand over his eyes and gave an agitated sigh. "Excuse me..You wouldn't happen to be Ayn, would you? Please tell me you are, so I don't have to keep wandering these damned halls?" he said, his eye twitching slightly. Any more wandering and he'd start blowing chunks out of the walls. |
Ayn takes a step back, her sword drawn in surprise. The sight of this stranger is certainly bemusing: A priest with a cannon attached to his back? She eyes him warily for a few minutes, not really sure what to make of him. "Just who the hell are you?"
Solamente sighed stood up, the cannon knocking another chunk of the ceiling off. "Solamente Furia." he said, then crossed his arms. "And will you stop staring, dammit?" Solamente growled. If this girl WASN'T Ayn, and he wasn't a priest, he might smack her. Damn those vows they make you take. Regardless, he tapped his foot slightly and said "It's pretty damned important I see Ayn. So if you're not her, can you kindly point me in the direction of her?"
Ayn grips her sword, still staring at Solamente despite his annoyance. "I am Ayn. What is it you're so desperate to speak to me about?"
Solamente sighed and put his hand over his eyes. This was going to be annoying. "Ah..Yes. Ayn." he said, then pulled the hand from his eyes and ruffled in his robes. He pulled out a piece of paper, and handed it to her. "That basically states I've been assigned by The Church, in all their brillance, to protect you and keep you alive." he said, crossing his arms once more. A soft voice seemed to poke into his mind, and said "Patience Solamente. Patience." and then vanished back into his soul. He calmed down a bit, and actually smiled. "Excuse me for being so rude. Finding this castle was not exactly easy." he stated simply.
Ayn immediately looks dismayed at the thought of some cannon-lugging priest following her around, but her expression softens after a few minutes.
"A priest to protect you? This could work out well for the both of us, child.. Let him stay and do his duty." Ayn sheaths her sword and shrugs slightly. "All right." |
Solamente smiled and nodded. "Wonderful." and then closed one eye tightly, like he had a headache. "..Lovely..Maxwell would like to speak to- ow- you for a second.." and then he put his hand over his face and grimaced. A faint white shadow seemed to seep from his head, and took a vaguely humanoid form. "Hello, Child of Gaia. My name is Maxwell, and I have been assigned with Solamente to keep watch over you. It shall be a true pleasure." and gave a small bow. Solamente waved his hand through the shadow, and it began to break up. "Okay, okay you damned angel. Shut up and get back in here." and the shadow vanished back into Solamente's own. "Damn showoff." he said, then crossed lowered his hand. "Well then. What're we doing here, exactly?" he asked, wondering why she was in the library of a deserted castle.
Ayn has found yet another reason to stare at him with an eyebrow arched, but she just shakes it off and turns her back to him. "I don't know.. I have no recollection of this place, or anything about it.. It just feels as though.. I'm supposed to."
Solamente shrugged and said "Past life? You simply forgot you were here? Something along those lines?" and then shook his head. "Whatever. I need a cigarette." he said, then leaned against the doorway. Shuffling through his robe, he pulled out a crumbled pack of cigarettes and extracted an equally abused cigarette and then pulled a silver lighter, shaped like a cross, from his collar and lit it. He took a puff, then said "So where are we headed, after this place?"
"As long as nobody shows up to kill me, I actually plan on staying here." Ayn pulls a book out of the shelf and thumbs through it.
"Sounds good to me." he said, then took another deep drag off the cigarette. He crossed his arms and looked deep in thought for a moment, then sighed. "Atleast this place is close enough to my Church.." he muttered. He wasn't particularly happy about being assigned this dull mission, but it offered him the chance to visit the Children on occasion. He was getting tired of asking Kale to watch other the children instead of doing it himself.
"Goddamnit!" An exasperated man screams as he storms down the long, carpeted stairway that ascends from the library to a set of large double doors. One had been thrown open, revealing a overly large and peculiarly desolate bedroom. The man was about six feet with ear-lenght dirty blonde hair. Dressed in nothing but a pair of baggy blue pants, the bandages of recent wounds (as well as the scars from old ones), and a small pair of reading glasses that he had neglected to remove.
Clearly irate, he'd slung a long, black sword over his shoulder and gritted his teeth. In the library bellow was a young girl with strawberry blonde hair, and older man dressed in robes and wielding a long staff, and finally a strange blue haired woman who didn't seem at all phased by the loud explosion elsewhere in the castle that was the cause of the man's frustration. "What the hell makes everyone so inclined to intrude into my castle?! Christ. God forbid I ever try to sleep." Murmuring to himself, he walks past the other three and pauses. Tilting his head back, the rage dissipates and he half-smiles at his guests, "...Don't all rush to help me, now." For one of the few times in his life, Gale gave a content, affectionate smile. In less than a month, it will have been around three years since those four resided in Estecia Castle in a bizzare sort of 'family. In fact, three of them still reside within the castle. The graves of Laena, One, and Gale, as well as the others who lost their lives in the entangled tragedy, rest in the courtyard of the castle. This castle was place of depressing, lost memories of fleeting happiness and relationships never ment to be. Only the young girl, Rose, survives to this day. Eventually she, along with those who had banded together against Gale in his sorrow induced attempted genocide and survived, abandoned the castle and the memories it contained. Only now, after song long, did anything but memories reside there. Unfortunately, there was one last 'intruder' in the twilight between habitations. A hateful, chaotic being who despised all of the castle's inhabitants unconditionally. He had tormented Gale when he lived there, then Ayn, and he had returned one final time in silence to defile the grounds themself. The treasury, where anything of value to Gale was kept and remained sealed after his death out of what (little) respect Ayn and her comrades had for the lamentful man, had been broken into and ransacked. Anything of material worth was stolen, anything of sentimental significance burned. The 'golden room', which had once been hidden behind a bookcase had also been broken into. The jewels and gold within were missing, and the rest was smeared with a red substance that could have been paint, or perhaps blood. One mark was far more dispicable than all the others, however. At one time, four tombstones were placed in the center of the courtyard, Fury One Laena Gale The headstones were missing, the ground before them ripped up. The aim was not to steal the bodies, if there was anything left of them now, only mocking disrespect. In their place was an inverted cross made of wood with a flag that read, "Dust as people, dust as soil, in the end it's all the same, worthless. May the pitiful, pathetic souls that sleep here never find peace, but fade into oblivion for eternity until their existance is forgotten from time. <3 Legion" |
A wind slowly rolled downwards over the mountainways and through the trees, a soothing gusting breaze, flowing down towards the broken into treasury.
"They are still here..." "I know..." "Are you sure?... It all looks destroyed..." "They're here..." "Hmmp... how would you know?..." "I just know... i can feal them..." "Oh... how would that be?" "I used them both... believe me... i know..." "Are we going to let some mortal talk to-" "Shhh my sister..." "I just dont see the reasonging behind." "If he says they're here, then they're here..." A single figure slwoly walked in through the doorway of the room, his gaze circling the room. "What about the woman?..." "gaia..." "Shouldn't we try and help her..." "Ayn?..." "yes, that was her name..." "I know her... she can handle herself..." "We should at least let her know that we are here...' "We wont be long my sister..." "just collecting things..." "I cannot believe that he kept them here..." "Neither can I..." "I've found them..." Walking over to a corner of the room, the man kneals to the ground and places his palm upon a small square tablet, it begging to glimmer after a moment, and, with a crunching sound, the wall before him seemed to suddenly rearange its own bricks. Walking into the new found corridor, he finally came to the end of the hall, a small shrine being the only ornamentation within. Upon were two small racks, holding two weapons, both glimmering as light shone upon them from the outer room, and although the racks and shrine itself had collected dust over the time, they seemed to not hold a single particle of dust. "We've found them..." "The weapons..." |
From the edge of the castle's roof, Kyushin sits crouched, examining Legion's desecration far below. The flagrant display of disrespect for the dead earns a low, frustrated growl. Perhaps even more frustrating than the violation itself is that it symbolizes a failure to outpace the crazed demon. It seems more and more like Legion is a wild animal, and Kyushin's ability to contain him is eroding.
"So he was here," a man with folded wings muses from behind Kyushin. He calmly walks beside him, but looks only down in the courtyard, "And she's returned as well, if not in the same form as before."
Alinos takes a hand to his chin in thought, frowning, "I don't like the way this is going. She was better off far away until Legion was destroyed and Rand found." |
The figure walked out of the treasure room, never minding to close the opening he had created. Who cared if thay had been there now, all that mattered was that he had them back and could give them to their propper owners now...
"Those two... they knew him..." "Gale?" "Yes..." "Heh..." "whats wrong?" "The gale i knew died long ago, long before his saposed death here..." "i dont understand...' "For a goddess... you really dont know much." "Sister, did he just insult us?" "Dont worry about it..." Walking out the back of the castle he looked up towards the two figures, the glimmering red and blue objects in either hand shining, easly seen by them if they had cared. pausing for a moment he looked over towards the ravaged burial grounds and shook his head. "Legion..." |
"Not yet, though I'm impressed you 'persuaded' him to our side. Whatever it was you did." Alinos turns and looks toward a castle tower, "Though I imagine the three of you were quite the team in another life." He eyes Kyushin, "I have a hard time remembering just how involved you always were with that girl."
The Fallen sighs, running a hand through his hair, "Legion won't physically harm Ayn until he's convinced she will never remember him." |
The loud roar of an engine and the squealing of tires is heard outside. The sound of the engine is cut off and is replaced by a noise resembling gears moving and the sound of a blade sliding into it's sheath. "...Nostalgia." Cylas gets off of his bike and stares at the castle doors quietly. He wondered if anyone was there anymore, since he had lost contact with the familliars quite some time ago. 'I wonder how she is..?'
Alinos perks up at the sound of the motorcycle near the castle gates. He lets out a 'humph' and excuses himself from Kyushin's presence, "Bael is back. I'll greet him."
__ A soft breeze ruffles Cylas coat as he approaches the gates. A few gray feathers gently cascade to the gravel at his feet. Alinos stands on the gates, his wings wrapped around his chest. "How nice to see you again, Cylas." |
Looking up, he spots Alinos. With a slight nod of his head, he greets the angel. "Still being a spectator in human affairs, I see. How's the girl?"
Alinos smirks, "That sounded possessive, are your motives less than platonic?"
"She's not how you remember, anway." The Angel's wings unfold, casually stretching themselves. "Perhaps it's for the best." |
"My motives are none of your celestial business. I've known her longer than you've been watching us, I care about her. You wouldn't know what that is, you're an angel." Stepping closer, he runs a gloved finger over one of the scars on his jaw. "What do you mean by 'not how I remember'?"
"Some of my kind would argue otherwise," The Angels scoffs, "It seems she's entered a self-induced amnesia. He consciousness was split between herself as Gaia and her human side, which holds no memory of any of the events that have transpired here. Outside of that, she's done a rather superb job of remaining incognito."
"Which makes me wonder if your presence is required any longer." |
Cylas looks up and into Alinos' eyes. His hands ball up and he sighs quite hard, trying to keep his composure. "I could say the same to you. In fact, you're here for the mortal entertainment anyways, so what makes you required here in the first place? All you do is sit and look pretty with your wings. You're no better than us."
Alinos chuckles, and with a hop floats down to the ground, "Maybe if you can prove that I'll reconsider." Alinos flicks his wrist, creating a transparent blade of light.
"I just hope you can still lift that over-sized butcher knife of yours." |
Cylas tightens his right glove and unsheathes his heavy blade slowley. He lets the blade rest on his shoulder as his his left robotic hand rotates 360 degrees. With a loud pop from his neck, he readies his blade and nods again to the angel. "Whenever you're ready, you abomination."
"Pfft. Words." Alinos grips his sword with two hands, crouches, and holds the tip to the ground. With a flap of his massive wings he rushes toward the mercenary, uprooted earth flailing behind him. Approaching Cylas, he slashes upward and cause the earth before him to buckle.
As Alinos soars at him, he quickly pushes himself off the ground, flying backwards, still facing Alinos. He narrowly avoids him as he jumps, but while still in the air, his body twists and he tries to bring the added mass of the sword onto the angel's head.
A second flap carries the Angel out of the range of Cylas' skull crushing strike. The loose feathers left behind as Alinos glides backwards glow and fly toward the man like small razors.
Dropping to the ground, he stabs his sword into the ground and ducks behind it, narrowly avoid some of the feathers, though many slice his arms and hands, one also cuts deep into his neck. After spitting a curse, he jerks the sword up with him as he jumps high after the angel, his body twisting again to add weight to the sword as it crashes into the angel's.
Alinos' eyes narrow and he raises his weapon and braces himself for Cylas' coming blow. The tremendous force of the blow breaks the ground bellow the Angel, digging his boots deep into the soil. He grimaces, straining to hold the guard.
Stronger than he looks... |
Cylas lands with a thud and soars right back into the air, doing a front flip and after, stretching his body out as he raises the sword above his head and falls. He brings the sword down as he lands, attempting to cleave the Fallen in half.
Not this time.
Alinos flaps his wings and spins upward toward Cylas' falling blade. He twirls in his ascent, barely avoiding the razor-edge. Strands of gray hair are caught in flight, gliding slowly behind. Reaching a sizable altitude, Alinos narrows his eyes down at the human bellow him. Snarling, he raises his blade and hurls it down like a thunderbolt. |
As he lands and quickly turns, he barely has enough time to raise the flat end of his blade to block the strike. The force of the blow knocks his sword from his hands and into the air. It falls distantly away from him, stabbing into the dirt easily.
Smirking, Alinos creates a second blade of light. Holding it to his side, he allows himself to fall on, posed to strike Cylas like a meteor.
Cylas looks to his left and right, then jumps straight at Alinos. He lifts his leg up and steps off his back, kicking with his other leg to the back of his head. With his no stronger second jump, he dives for his blade.
Having heard a skirmish coming from down below, she steps to a window and leans out to look straight down. Her gaze lowers to the mortal and she blinks rapidly, as if a shred of memory suddenly returned in that instant.
Confused, Ayn turns away and rubs her forehead, brushing a loose whisp of hair out of her blue eyes. She walks out of the library and climbs the stairs to the front of the castle despite the voice urging her to return indoors. |
The Angel's landing was less than gracefull, his face connecting squarely with the dirt. Snarling, he rises and turns to Cylas, who had by then reached his weapon. Flicking his other wrist, he creates a second blade, "That's as far as your luck goes B-"
Alinos stops when he senses Ayn's distinct aura approaching, and he frowns, "...I forfeit this round. How odd that she..." The Angel nods, folding his wings and dispelling his swords. ((Jesus.)) |
Cylas rips his blade from the ground and holds it on his shoulder. "So d'you think I still need some divine right to see the girl I care for, whatever state she may be in?"
Alinos smirks, "Hardly, but she's on her way anyway, and I have better sense than to pummel you into the ground while she's watching."
Cylas sheathes his sword without a word and walks past him into the doors of the castle. He crosses his arms and waits on Alinos to follow him and for Ayn to arrive.
Ayn tenses slightly as she draws near, images and memories she doesn't even know are hers flashing through her mind. She stumbles slightly and places a hand on a wall of the castle for balance.
"Uuuh..." Lara rolled over, pulling the covers over her head. A moment before she surrendered once more into sleep, she realized that this was...about the third time this morning she'd done this.
Then she realized it wasn't the morning anymore. In a string of archaic curses used long ago by her native people, the Abbis storms out of her room in a sleepy daze, lamenting that she let herself sleep all day. Scratching her head, she suddenly fully wakes up. "What the hell are they all doing here?!" Without a thought she bolted toward the gates. __ Bitting his lip, Alinos questioned the wisdom in allowing Cylas entrance. Was this in G-...Ayn's best interest? After a moment of thought, Alinos decided that it wasn't his place to make judgment. This was the Human's world, and their destiny. He no longer had the authority to deem what was right or not. "This way, we might as well meet her halfway." Alinos doesn't walk, but glides slightly over the floor, heading toward Ayn and motioning for Cylas to follow. |
Cylas turns on his heel and follows, boots loudly thudding through the castle. He looked around and remembered the castle from before, when he was Gale's companion, partner. Sighing and glancing at tapestries and furniture of old memories, he continues down the halls with Alinos.
She straightens and looks around, having heard footsteps. Frowning slightly, she grips the hilt of her sword and starts to walk towards the noise echoing throughout the walls.
"Legion managed to break in," Alinos whispered matter-of-factly, careful to make sure Ayn would not hear even if she was oblivious to the castle's connection to her, "He ransacked the treasurey, burned part of the library, and ripped up the courtyard cemetary. I haven't seen him since... It should be alright for the moment, I'll just have to fix things up."
Alinos stops, and speaks out, "Don't worry, child. We're not enemies. We won't come any further unless you ask us to." |
Ayn stops in her tracks, it sounded like the voice was coming from right around the corner ahead. "...Who are you?"
"I'm the...former Angel Alinos. You may not remember me, but you seem to sense the one with me enough to seek him out. Care to meet him?" Alinos leans against the wall, crossing his arms.
Walking slowley around the corner, he runs a hand through messy, spiked near-platinum blonde hair. "It's a pleasure to meet you... again. My name is Cylas Bael. Do you... remember me?" He holds out his hand to greet her, quite unsure of himself.
Ayn stares at his hand for a moment, then her gaze shifts to his face. "I feel like I should.." She reaches out and takes his hand, giving it a slight shake. She blinks and shakes her head, her mind fuzzy.
Smiling, Cylas seizes the oppertunity. "That's a start." He slightly turns her hand and goes down to a knee. Kissing her ring finger, he rises and releases her. "How have you been?"
"Ah.." Ayn flushes slightly at his boldness. "All right, I suppose.." She shifts her weight to the other foot awkwardly. "What about you?.."
He rubs the back of his neck, as if rubbing a bruise. "Well... our friend back there give me a rough welcome, but I'm no worse for the wear. How about we take a walk?" He turns and nods his head twoard the castle gates. He starts walking slow enough, wanting her to be beside him as they begin heading outside.
She seems reluctant at first, but after hearing no resistance from the spirit within her, she walks alongside him. Her shoulders droop slightly as she tries to make sense of the flurry of images in her mind associated with this man; she doesn't appear to be having any luck.
