Swordless Link
This is the grand daddy of Ocarina of Time's little glitches. It is not hard to perform and carries no risk of instability or altering your game save. The catch, however, is you need version 1.0 - The Gold Cartridge, or one of the few gray cartridges that were manufactured before version 1.1 was introduced. You can find out which version you have here, or simply attempt this trick to determine if you have 1.0. All you have to do is enter the battle with Ganondorf, defeat him, and escape from the castle. When Ganondorf transforms and knocks the Master Sword out of Link's hands, save and reset. That's all there is to it; Just make sure you don't re-equip anything to the B-button. If the Master Sword is still equipped after you reset the game, then you do not have version 1.0. Swordless Link enables you to use C-button items on Epona and affects other areas of the game that rely on the B-button. The trick was originally discovered by T-Dog (Odyssey of Hyrule).
B-button
Note nothing is equipped to the B-button.
Bomb
You can use Bombs and Bombchus on Epona.
Megaton Hammer
You can hold the Megaton Hammer, but you can't swing it.
Farore's Wind
Using certain items, like any of the three magic spells, will cause Link to dismount... Sort of.
RC Epona
After using an item that causes you to dismount, you can still control Epona remotely.
Longshot
Using the Longshot on Epona may be the best part of Swordless Link.
Longshot
You can literally float around after firing the Longshot and dismounting.
Fishing Rod
You won't be able to cast the fishing rod without a sword equipped to B.
Carpenter's Tent Glitch
This trick is performed by riding Epona into the Carpenter's Tent in Gerudo Valley. That's easier said than done; We recommend checking Zelda's Secret Ocarina for instructions. Once you're inside the tent, Link will not be on Epona - But the game will still believe he is. Warp to Lake Hylia, and Link will become invisible.
Riderless Epona
Link is actually invisible.
Invisible Link
More invisible Link.
Arrow
Trying to shoot an arrow will look something like this.
Hooves
This is what you get when you try to look around with C-up.
Fishing Rod Glitch
Enter the fishing pond as an adult, pay to fish, and equip the Hover Boots. Run out into the pond and cast the line while Link is still hovering over the water, then run back. You should be able to walk around with the line still cast. Make your way to the door and press A to leave. Once outside, the Fishing Rod will still be equipped to B, but Link won't have it out. Attempting to use the rod will cause Link to freeze in place; This can be broken by the Gameshark's "Press L to Levitate" code.
Fishing Rod
Walking around with the line cast.
Fishing Rod
Outside the pond with the rod still equipped.
Fishing Rod
Trying to use the rod will cause Link to freeze.
Get Navi Stuck
As an adult, you can cause Navi to become stuck in place anywhere in the Temple of Time except the room with the Pedestal of Time. First, read the inscription on the Pedestal with the Spiritual Stones. Now, play Saria's Song from any point in the room where you can still see all three stones in the background as Link plays. Choose yes to talk to Saria, and the sequence will end prematurely. Navi should become stuck wherever she was. Additionally, the Temple of Time will remain unusually dark, as if you were still talking to Saria. Finally, a way to be rid of her! If only for a time...
